In this section, you will see many of the activities that I have hosted in my classroom. There are many different activities including crafts, sensory activities, gross and fine motor and field trips as well.

Sugar Cookie Baking

From scooping and stirring to squeezing and shaking, the preschool two kids were working hard on their fine motor skills with some homemade sugar cookies! The students loved being able to express their creativity while decorating the cookies after they had cooled off.


Paper Plate instruments

The Children loved painting their paper plate to make their own musical instruments. Once dried, the students then added wooden beads and uncooked black beans. With the aid of the educator, they then glued it closed.

Preschool Two gets messy! The kids had the chance to work on their fine motor skills with a pumpkin cleaning station. They loved all the different textures and smells and seeing the bubbles come to life once mixed with water!

The Preschool Two kids started to celebrate spooky season with their very own haunted playhouse! The got to decorate with fluffy paint, halloween stickers and more spooky decor!!

Apple Picking

Yesterday all of the Preschoolers had an amazing adventure at Thiessen’s Apple Orchard. They got to ride on a school bus … two times, took two wagon rides, picked and tasted some delicious apples, and got to explore a really cool playground. It was definitely a day to remember.

Nature Walk

The preschool two kids had the chance to soak up the sun and take a nature walk. Children’s curiosity feeds their exploration and actions. During this time, they found many different things that caught their eyes including a fountain, a birds nest and some wild berries. The students saw many different colour flowers like pink, purple and yellow and commented how they smelled so pretty and fresh.

Muddy Pig craft

The Preschool Two students have been learning about farm animals. Today was all about pigs. The children know that pigs love to play in mud. During craft time, they transformed their piggy pictures into playful muddy pigs This activity gave them the opportunity to express their creativity and work on their fine motor skills.

A day at the pond!! The students  Preschool Two had so much fun with their pond themed sensory bin! Sensory bins can be an amusing way for kids to learn about new environments! This bin allowed them to explore the many different bugs, animals and plants live in this type of environment. Black flies, frogs and water lilies just to name a few. This activity gave them the chance to work on their fine motor skills, imaginative play and work on their group entry skills.

Teddy Bear Picnic

​Snack served with a side of fuzzy friends! The Preschool Two friends from Leamington were filled with joy because they got to bring their favourite teddy bear from home to take part in a teddy bear themed picnic. They had the opportunity to introduce their teddy bear and share why they love them. They then sat and had their snack picnic style!


Beach Sensory Bin

Yesterday our Preschool Two students got to experience the beach in the classroom!! The students searched through the sand and water finding seashells, rocks, beach glass and fishies. This gave them chance to work on their fine motor skills, experience different textures and increased their curiosity about different environments.

Preschool two had lots of fun saving the city in their superhero sensory bin!!! This activity provided them with a new sensory experience (moon sand) and promoted imaginative play.

Save The Animals 

Preschool Two to the rescue! Our friends got the chance to save some animals from the sticky tape that had trapped them! This activity gave the children the opportunity to identify animals, work on their fine motor skills and gave them a chance to engage in imaginative play.
